Quick question that ive been trying to search for with no luck. I currently have a crushed 1G bov and it works fine and everything but my new fmic came with a greddy flange on it insted of 1g like it said. So i went ahead and bought a type S for it. I figured maybe i might be able to hear somthing insted of nothing like the 1G. Btw i have a catless resonatorless exhaust with an O2 dump so im quite loud. Any opinions on if ill be able to hear the bov over the exhaust at all? just a dumb thing i thought of tonight sense i figured its louder than the 1G and i cant hear the 1G one at all so you know. Maybe a video clip with a dump and a type s would be cool or somthing ;). Somone let me know whats up. Btw im not venting both were/are recirculating.

I can hear my 1g BOV over my full exhaust and with a type-s it will be able to be heard. Not much of a tech question though.

really? i honestly can not hear mine at all even with both windows down hmm. Well im sure it will be fun then when i get the type S on.

I have the type s as well with the intercooler setup and it is pretty loud. I think it would also depend on the size turbo and the psi also. But i have ran my ride with the downpipe open and i was still able to hear it. Check for vacuum leaks or see on your boost gauge where your vacuum sits at. There might be a problem there. OMG

downloading the videos now. and about vaccum leaks or anything ive checked over and over and no leaks anywhere boost or vaccum. Just to make sure it was working i took the return tube off to vent it and drove around the block with it plugged using duct tape and it worked fine. Stalled the car 4 times doing it LOL but it was fine. I was just wondering with a dump and everything if ill be able to hear it sense i never see threads about that with an O2 dump. Im getting the bov tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

well watched the vids. Sounds pretty good. Although i think having like a foot long recirculation tube like these 1G's have makes it less pronounced but who knows. When i had my 2G i had the type RS bov recirculated and it was actually very loud. But as of right now i just have a hard intake pipe on and im not installing my front mount til spring becuase i dont have a garage, needless to say i have a rigged uicp (1g rubber outlet to the bov pipe then a 2G upper pipe to the elbow sense i have a 2G TB elbow) Its pretty ghetto, so im thinking for the time being im going to drill into the stock flange to mount the greddy unless thats ill advised? then ill just wait til i install the front mount.
