BOV Sound

I have a TurboXS H34 bypass valve and am growing tired of its long "whooosh!" I have heard WRX's and DSM's with a louder, shorter "pshht!" Is this what the 1g or Greddy Type S BOV's sound like? If not, which one?

I have a type-s recirc'n, and it makes a high pitched pssshttt. Not too loud but noticiable.

Well I have to say that I love the way the Type-S sounds. There's not another like it. Nice whistle.

I remember seeing a post within the last week or two that had a link to a webpage with mp3's of most of the major BOV's and their sounds. It was a pretty cool site if you're into the BOV noise, and had clips of the BOV's when the engine is just revving in neutral and some as the car was driving by.

Yeah well, I think when they redesigned the site they didn't skimp on the search features, but could have cut to the chase and just created a Blow-Off-Valve forum.

Actually, I did search and found that site, but they didn't have any clips of recirc. DSM BOVs. I wanted to know how it actually sounded on our cars. Thanks though, Greddy Type-S sounds good!

anyone know what the TurboSmart Dual Port Blow Off Valve sounds like. It supposedly is loud as hell because it vents to atmosphere, but it ALSO vents to intake so your dsm doesnt stall.. i want to know if this thing is high pitched or like a tial and flutters. i found it here:
