I'm having this issue, builds 5lbs of total boost then brick walls, all further accel is totally not happening, I'm going to clean my maf, I have yet to run a boost leak test, yet I'm about to hardpipe and reline the car as is. So if a boost leak is present I'll find it then. (Hopefully, my MBC isn't ran right, I need to tap my J Pipe)

Any other ideas, maybe Coil related, it's literally like a miss when I try to go into full boost, plugs and everything I've yet to check, it's a new issue.

16G, SAFC, Unrecirculated, FPR (no name, and I KNOW it's going bad), not checked on the fuel filter yet.

Any other ideas?

do you have same symptoms while reving engine in neutral or with clutch in? try putting engine in neutral and give it alotta throttle , dont have to rev the crap out of it just slam your gas pedal real quick and see if it does the same thing?

If you have yet to check these things out, you should check them before we can do correct diagnosis on the problem. If you haven't checked ignition system (plugs, wires, and for good connection) then that's where i think the problem may be. You buile up to 4-5lbs and load up you plugs and they aren't firing well, you will feel a studder. Not to say that that is in fact the issue.

Check on all of those things you listed.

Also, if you are having any kind of studder of hesitation kind of problems, a boost leak test is definitely a must. Make sure and do that also.

Yes razrman, it's always at 4 lbs to 5 lbs of boost that the hesitation begins and it feels like a misfire. Car will not accept and additional throttle.

If you ease into it out of boost, thru the bad at 0 on the gauge, and don't let it build boost, it'll rev past 4-5k easily.

Alright. If it it always constant at 4-5lbs, I would definitely say it might be putting a load on A) bad plugs or B) Not being able to get fire because the wires do not have a good connection to the plugs. How is the idle?

Idle is fine, no issues with it aside from the common DSM alt belt issue.

Otherwise she'll idle like a brand new car.

Alright then, I'd be willing to bet that your plugs are bad. If you had a bad connection to the plugs, you would be getting a check engine light for a misfire, which you would be able to tell just in idle. But, seeing as your idle is fine, I would check the plugs for sure. That is what the probelm sounds like to me. You'd be surprised what bad plugs will do.

I figured as much, I found this DSM hanging out at a guys house, just sitting around.

This car has been great too me, much better than my 92 TSI was and much bettee than my DA9.

I see. Its the simple maitenece stuff that will get you all mixed up. And if you end up getting new plugs, make sure they are gapped correctly. They should be able to pull it up on the computer at the auto parts store. If you do not already know it.

I know it, I just hope I can find a store around that actually carries them in this area.

1)Get new plugs and make sure they are gapped accordingly
2)Maybe replace the wires if its an option
3)Do a boost leak test because it sounds like you have a nasty leak somewhere.

Dont look too far into it just yet. Its probably one of the 3 things I just listed. Dont go taking your valve cover off just yet.

Plugs are no good (got them but not in yet.)

Wires are in my home.
Boost leak test is a definite.

Also, on the code reader I got both o2 sensors (both are bad but I knew it)
CLSD <--- Coolant Level, this is related to the overflow right? Isn't the sensor located there? (bad thermostat?)
Cylinder 3 Missfire. This is what surprised me. I was told it could be MANY things, I just wanna help narrow it down.

The cylinder 3 misfire is probably the bad plug. Also check the connection of the cylinder 3 to the plug and coil. But I'd say the plugs are doing it.
