ok my car is just about stock 91 talon tsi.... the problem is when i puch it the car accelerates fast then when it hits about 4k theres a sudden lose of power please help me .... i changed spark plugs not the problem shit makes me pissed how i cant have power.

damn i just dont wanna spend all that money on wires, coils, ecu, transistor pack, thats to much money just to find out if it is the problem

Alright. Lets start over again. How did you do a boost leak test? I want to make sure we accomplish each step one at a time throughly. And yeah, the plugs should be gaped at .028. Gap the plugs to the correct size. Then let's go over the boost leak process again.

 Aren't you the one asking for advice? I told you I was going to verify the gap size. Therefore one would assume that I'm not just making up numbers. Hence leading to a possible solution to a problem in which you came to us for. If you're not willing to listen to our advice then do not ask for it.

nm it didnt work now whats next... the boost leak test i did was the one u make then u pump air through it with a comperser

LOL, let me try. You've had more patience than some have...hahaha

OK,
1. Been asked many times and nobody has recieved an answer.
What kind of plugs do you have?
NGK doesn't cut it. They have hundreds of plugs.
Also are they the platinum plugs?
As ddavisaf has mentioned, .034 is to large
Gap your plugs at .028

2. How did you do a boost leak check. Did you follow the vfaq?
http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html
Did you make sure you sprayed everything(compressor housing, IC pipes, couplers, BOV, vacuum hoses, injector seals, TB, etc) with soap/water solution?
What did you pressure test it up to?

3. Per the below quote

some times my car will actually work when i puch it but very rare.. usually when i just started my car
Do you hear any ticking around your valve cover or at startup?
If it's bogging and you let off the gas and get back on it(above 4000 rpm) does it then work good?
If so you might want to read this thread.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183922&highlight=phantom+knock

Just remember the more info you give, the easier we will be able to narrow it down.

yeah there is a lil ticking noise under the hood... iono if the sprake plugs are the platnium. sometimes when i have it at 3500 then punch it at there it pulls its so weird

I think i got phantom knock how do i fix that

It's a good idea to know that you have the proper plugs.
Most use BPR6ES at a .028 gap.
Since you are mostly stock, make sure you're not using the BPR7ES's. At your stage, you don't want colder plugs.

Now the tick. It's probably lifter tick. It's very common and I answered how to fix it in the thread I linked you to(3rd generation lifters for the 1g/2g eclipse/talon)(no, not 3g eclipse lifters).
If what you read in the other thread sounds very familiar to the problems you're having, I would suspect the lifters. Even more so if you're hearing the lifter tick.
The tick could also be a noisy injector.
Figure out which it is.
Good luck

i am running BPR6ES at 28 still no luck ...........nvm I dont have phantom knock the little noise was coming from my timing belt pully just a lil tick tick tick............... so whats next

i have been in the same situation for a while. i tried tunning it both ways, new wires, and endless times of brain storming.

when i put brand new ngk R plugs in it stoped twice or three times then came back. i havent yet tried the plug gap but i will try that today and check the timing. i have minor boost leaks at the moment but the turbo is being changed this weekend if my o2 dump arrives. the intercooler setup is beeing replaced as well with new pipes and intercooler.

all i kno is that the problem is cause by my ignition or ecu those are the only things that i can think of...boost leak dont cause my car to fall on its face after 4k

I FIXED MY PROBLEM!!!!

i had the gm maf and the maft in my room for about a month or so because i was waiting for my intercooler and the custom pipes i was going to get from a buddy of mine. the reason was i didnt want to hack up my uicp incase i wanted to sell it later. so i said screw it and put it on tuned it out a little and took it to 5k and ran like it did when i first bought it.
i did have time to mess with the plugs just whanted to get the gm setup to work.

so your problem might be a Mass Air Flow problem!!!

the sensor might be bad or part of it might be bad.

yea it fixed it that day until i took it to the track and ran it a couple times but it back after 4700 rpm to 5k but still pulls hard it just cuts for a second and winds through. could i could of fouled out my plugs but not to sure. that and the car keeps dieing on me when i stop in trafic.

ok i replaced my fuel pump with a 255 walbro and it worked my problem was solved now its doing it again though what should i do

I have a very similar problem with my car as well. I have had a bunch of posts about it i still have not found an answer, basically after exactly about 4000 i lose all power and the boost is at a steady 14psi but I just do not go anywhere and it very slowly climbs. I have heard sooo many things it could be, clogged cat, pulled timing, etc etc etc. So i think its just narrowing down the possibilities. I have adjusted my air/fuel both ways with no luck and replaced my plugs twice. Then I redid my boost leak test and found out I am leaking out of my throttle body. I put a new gasket in it but still no luck and I am still leaking. So i will try to fix that today with some sealant and tell you how it goes if it helped me or not.

same thing up untill the throttle body leak..does it matter that i just had my ecu messed with to try and rid the CEL and also my car came with no vacuum line son and ran great, but when i had them put on today for inspection purposes, it has full boost (14psi stock) and yet loses almost ALL power at 4k or 3800 rpms..if anyone can help please give me a call. 1-413-537-8859 id rather talk to someone who has either had this happen tho themselves or fixed a problem like this..please help asap

i believe so..i had it done by a "kustom performanz" and never had any problems with their work..any way for me to check without ruining the car??
