My Profile is up to date. 850 injectors, 5031 turbo, 98/99 ecu, stock 7 bolt.

It seems I'm getting knock at pretty low levels of timing and from what I've seen I should be capable of running a lot more. I use 93 octane, usually from BP. I've included my tune, viewable in ecuflash and a couple different logs in xls format.

I'd like some advice since I'm hitting the track saturday morning.

11.5+ is pretty lean. Looks like you need to richen things up.

11.0 - 10.5 would be better.

I've had similar knock issues with running 11.1 or so too.

I'll try running it richer though.

You only have three variables: Compression(Boost), Timing, and Fuel.

Leaning the Fuel out produces small power gains compared to increasing Compression and Timing. So fuel should be richened up before decreasing the other two.

Of the other two, Compression and Timing, Compression(Boost) will usually net more power. So Timing should be decreased if you are still getting knock and have already richened up WOT.

3 Counts of Knock ~= 1 degree Timing pulled. So for every 3 counts of Knock you should lower Timing 1 degree in the cell where you are knocking.

As for your AFRs, its not uncommon for people to have AFRs in the low 10s. The stock maps get as rich as 9.5 at WOT.

I've put it down to low 10s to get rid of this knock. It's not doing anything to help. It seems like any time I come to 10* of timing it starts to knock, and not just a little knock but 5 - 7 counts of it.

Should I be hitting load in the area of 300 with a PTE 5031 and around 20-24 psi.

Are you running an Evo MAF or something?

Your MAF Size and MAF Scaling are messed up, they should only be edited if you are not using a 2G MAF.

Thats throwing off your Load numbers as well as the Load axis lookups for the Timing and Fuel maps. This is whats most likely causing your Timing issues, and could cause other problems.

I swear I've check that before and had it set to stock settings. I'll change that and get some tuning done tomorrow morning.

I doubt anyone will see this, but here is a last log for the night. A full 3rd gear pull.

Not sure what it changed, but I reset the ecu and it helped a ton. Ended up with a 13.099 today at the track. Still have a lot of work to do but it seemed to solve some of my problems. Here is a log of that run.
