My question is exactly as the title says.
I've been spending days tracing over all the oil pump threads on here and just cant come to a clear solution to which is best
I have both combinations in my possession. All brand new.
The AMS race balance shaft and the OEM stubby shaft. With a set of new helical gears and straight gears.
I want to do this right the first time around.
Motor is a 2.4 G4CS built by JAM. Will be seeing around and over 650hp. Last thing I want is a wrong selection in oil pump set up to ruin my motor.
I know that with whatever choice I go with I need to get the gears deburred and polished.
Which combo should I be putting into my front case??

I run the OEM stubby shaft with helical gears.

From what I have read the straight cut gears are a bit "louder" than the helical.
