Strong fuel smell

As it shows in my profile, i have a 95 ESI. I am smelling fuel strongly inside car when driving around at about highway speeds and also when car is sitting still i will smell it outside near left rear wheel strongest but toward rear of car. I have moderate mechanical abilities and have smoke tested the car from the charcoal canister in the front and also from the filler neck in the rear. i have replaced the fuel pump cover gasket. i am not seeing any smoke from any vent lines or fuel injectors or no evidence of any past leaks. any help would be appriciated.

Is there any evidence of fuel leaking on the ground where you park your car?

no, no evidence whatsoever. none on the ground, none on the fuel tank or on any of the lines.
