i was looking at stoker kits and they say they come with a new 4g64 crank. and they were talking about 6 bolt compression ratios and things like that. If i were to buy one of these kits like the slow boy one or something, and got the 4g64 crank would this eliminate more of the risk of crank walk? it seemed like they only made them for the 6 bolt would i have to change over or would the kit take care of most of this and just have to get a new fly wheel and little stuff like that ?

I don't think anyone's proven the exact cause of crankwalk. For all we know it could be the 7 bolt block itself. If you've got 100k miles on the stock block with in-spec crank play then I wouldn't hesistate to get a 2.3L stroked 7 bolt kit. There are quite a few different compression ratios available.. 10:1 all the way down to 7.5:1 for those with very high boost.

well i do have over 100k i havent checked to see if everything is in spec yet. But if it is worth the risk then hey why not. Does anyone know of someone who sells a kit for the 7 bolt i have only seen 6 bolts so far. It would be a pain to have to buy everthing individually and being i don't know for sure what fits with what cause i'm still new it would be easier to get it all packaged in one LOL
