Stroker and 14B

Once funds are up to an adequate amount, I will have a 2.3L stroker 6-bolt put in. I have my 14b w/ported 6cm turbine housing on the 2.0 now and will not have the money to upgrade. I already know that the 14b will become pretty damn inefficient on the stroker, but how much would a ported 7cm turbine housing help the situation?

Searched Tuners, Talk, and NABR with no luck. Not looking for guesses.

Not before the new eninge's put in, I have 90psi compression in all cylinders. Then come fuel mods so I can handle a larger turbo.

You will be fine with the 14b...and I highly doubt the turbo's efficincy will change at all.

ya ... it will prolly just be like the 9b on the 3kgt where you'll see peak torque at 2500rpm and it won't hold boost very well past 5.5k rpms.

Should I go with a ported 7cm turbine housing? It seems like it would be a good idea because larger displacement normaly requires a larger A/R turbine housing.

get a stronger waste gate if u stick with the 41b, but my 14b on my stroker just doesnt seem.. like its enough. GO BIGGER!!! i am..

Did it on my 2.3L 6 bolt for the breakin period and for a few weeks after and it worked great.

I wanted to break in my new engine with a "reliable" tune so i used the 14b and stock injectors. Definately couldnt go above 15psi without hitting 100% duty cycle though.

Just as an update on my part, I have not gone stroker yet because I found my compression to be great. The low reading was due to a defective tester. I will end-up with the larger turbo first, but thanks for all the replys.
