Hey guys i recently put blue street glow onto my car and in pennsylvania it gets pretty cold in the winter:notgood: do i have to remove the tubes or will they be ok? i heard that i can keep them on but i should not try and turn them on? Any truth to that? thanks;)

i dont think it matters, they are built to be on cars, so i'd think they could handle the cold. i'v never herd anything about what you're talking about, my friends have them and they run them all year around, and it gets super cold here

yeah i heard that they like had to "warm up" a little in the cold weather i turned them on today and it was about 50degrees out and it took a few seconds but then they were glowing all out

i usually take them off in the winter because of ice bult up and other b/s just keep the wiring all nice for spring. So my opinion is to take them off and they will last longer and you wont have to worry about breaking a bulb or any thing.

well street glow will replace them for free they have a lifetime warranty i think im gonna just keep them on i have a truck that i usually drive when it snows so i dont recon ill have to worry about ice

Nor is PA the land of retards, or is it? LOL

Hey, I resemble that remark ROFL j/k, although I did ride the short bus...

The neons should be OK here in PA, i have a bunch of friends who street race in western PA that leave em on all winter, and the snow out that way and cold gets much worse than around this area...out towards that d@mn groundhog in Punxsatawny...

The only reason you should take them off is due to ice and road debris from snow. The cold whether itself should have no negative effects on the lighting itself, but it could make the glass more prone to cracking. Led's should be fine all year round.

I don't know streetglow, but a warranty usually only covers an item that doesn't look broken. Taking in a shattered tube for warranty replacement is allot different from taking in a burned out light.
