This is my first time doing any work like this. We'll see how it goes!

My profile doesn't say much right now. I just wanted to add that I am in the process of building my motor. I'll give you a quick backstory: I used to use this vehicle for a daily driver when it broke down. It overheated. Come to find out, the head was warped. I usually like to try to do things myself, even though I usually have no idea what I'm doing. So I did it. Went to go put back everything together and was uncomfortable when it came to timing the engine. I enlisted the help of a friend that owned a "complete auto restoration shop." He came out, did the timing and was gone within twenty minutes. Well, now I was confident to put everything else back together and crank her up. I did so and heard a horrible noise. The engine had seized. He had the timing 180 degrees off!

Well, I've always wanted to build an engine. This is my chance! So I took my motor to a machine shop and told him I would like a street car with 400~hp as a goal. He basically did an OEM rebuild with forged internals. He also beefed up my head with aluminum springs and retainers.

This brings me to where I am now. I have a short block sitting here waiting to have everything else strapped in. It's been sitting for a while due to numerous various happenings in my life. I am finally at a point where I can take the next few months to work on this thing.

I will post more photos and updates as I go. I really want to get into this.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated seeing as how this is my first time.

Also, I have already met my first stumbling block. For one, this site has changed since I've last used it and it sounds dumb, but I can't figure out how to post a new thread. haha.

Anyways, thanks for reading.
