does anyone know why my stock bov is hella loud?? everything seem stock to me

Have you heard a stock one before though? Im not saying they're loud. I just want to know if you have something to compare to

yeah i heard a stock one before my cousin use to have one and it's not loud at all but mine it's hecka loud

oh yeah and my turbo spool hella louder then his. does that mean it's boosted higher?

mine does have a manual boost controller and the last time i check it was set at 14psi. is that the reason why it's louder

I would think that it would have something to do with your car being louder. Do you have a boost gauge?

A crushed 1g BOV is typically when you put it between two pieces of wood and literally crush it with a vice grip. There IS math involved in this step you will see people crush them to little or not enough. I would not do this just to be one of the cool kids.

The purpose is it causes the spring to be tighter to hold more boost the negative side of this is that it does not open quickly under low boost and I've heard stories of it not opening at all. It can lead to compressor surge which kills motors and turbos if you don't know.

Yeah if your completely stock, all pipes stock and your stock 2g bov is loud its probably leaking.

All my piping is stock, even still have the silencer between the lower ic pipe and ic, all i have is a k&n filter and its loud as ####. Found out it leaks at 10psi another reason why i can't get past 9psi.
