with my experince with other DSMers, on a stock engine, you can never raise the boost above 16psi or else that turbo will blow

I would hate for a newbie to find this and have such high expectations

Why? I made 600+ whp on my stock 7-bolt. It's all in how you set the car up and how well it is tuned...hell I don't have half of what STM has at my immediate disposal. I built my car in a garage and reset the stock 7-bolt block record.

True. I drove the ever living piss out of that motor! Many 8500+ rpm shifts and it still lasted 40 passes at 35-40 psi boost. ;) Calan hit the nail on the head.

You should be able to redline an engine thousands of times without a problem.

Heh, I can only imagine the car was redlined 98253986230983405792563 times before me by the 19 year old kid and subsequent people who owned it before me.

I don't consider enthusiastic driving, abuse. Limiters are to prevent damage, anything under that should be acceptable as long as you aren't maintaining 7k rpm for prolonged periods of time.

There's always a moron or two that say you're killing a car for redlining it. LAAAWWWLZ.
