Stock 420a throttle body.

I was wondering what the stock bore on the 420a throttle body is? I have a 95 talon esi. Reason for asking is a friend wants to know if it would fit on his 2000 neon. I have no clue if it would, but if anyone has any sort of imput that would be awesome. Also the neon is manual with cruise control.

Are you sure about that? I just put a vernier caliper to a spare TB I had laying around and I'm reading 51-52mm.

Well, the TB bore obviously tapers a bit, hence the range of measurements I posted. Near the entrance it's about 52mm, while closer to the butterfly, it's 51mm. In either case, 52mm should be the answer you're looking for.

I thought it was 48mm at the smallest point? I got me a 60mm MPX TP. I love it so much.

The inlet is 52mm, then it narrows inwards to 48mm. then back 52mm right before the butterfly and after it also. I have bored a stock TB before so I can confirm. Also CI offers a straight 52mm bored which elimates the 48mm narrow section.

So I guess I wasn't wrong then. Unless CI is pretty stupid for putting it in their description and these guys sell a ton of 420A shit. In fact that's where I bought my bored TB from when I had my GS.

I just did the half shaft mod to mine and had a friend bore away the tapered 48mm area. Makes a world of difference and it costed my zero dollars.
