I couldnt find a thread about how to change a turbine housing so I thought I would ask.

I have a big16g and im going to buy the bullseye 7cm turbine housing and I want to know just hard hard its going to be to remove my current housing and put the new one on.. any info would help.

It will be the same as a turbo removal. Once you get it off, remove the band clamp, remove the wastegate arm clip, then replace with the bullseye.

Now that i have stated the politicially correct way. Remove the bandclamp, take out the turbo-manifold bolts, unhook the downpipe, remove bandclamp around turbo, remove wastegate arm clip, then jimmy the SOB off of there O2 housing and all. Unbolt the O2 housing and put on the bullseye.

Too bad your not a lil closer. Were doing a turbo install friday in ormond beach.

hmm that doesnt sound like its that difficult.

heh if you did it on the weekend I would consider driving out there.. how far is ormond beach? I forget what thats near.

You don't need to take the turbo completely off just take the turbo to manifold bolts off then then take the oil drain line off from the turbo side and just push it out of the way so you can pull the turbo down little bit, unbolt the down pipe and push it out of the way, then you can start taking the o2 housing bolts off once you get the o2 housing off then you loosen the clamp that holds the turbine with the turbo, then after you get the clamp off use a screw driber to hit the little opening where the turbine and turbo meets and it shoul pop out then pull it off real carefully you don't want to bend the turbine fins. do not take the intake pipe, water lines or oil feed line off, that's whats is going to hold the turbo from falling down. is hard to get the o2 housing bolts off because is real tight but you can.

is the clamp that holds the turbine and housing together difficult to remove?
No, it just have a nut that you need to get off. you need to do this from under the car.
