Toronto,
Do you need to drain the coolant and oil to remove the exhaust manifold on a 2G?

I'm confused because in the vfaq here, it just says remove the bolts and studs. However in the Haynes manual it asks you to drain the cooling system, engine oil, and remove the AC condenser fan.

Haynes tells you to drain the fluids because they expect you to remove the turbo and then take the exhaust manifold out. You can support the turbo and just unbolt the manifold to get it out of there.
They tell you to move the fan because it just gives you more room to work with.

Use common sense and get that thing outta there however you want. :thumb:
