Ok so I just replaced my lower control arm because i hit a curb and now the steering wheel locks when i turn all the way to either side. The steering wheel will not straighten itself out. I can take my hands off the steering wheel and just sit there and drive in circles. I literally just replaced the lower control arm on the front right tire so would i just need to get the front end aligned or something?

Check the tie rods as they are directly related to the steering.

Try this. Put the front end of your car on jack stands. "steer" the wheel with your hand with the IGN in the "ON" position, but the car should not be running... how much play is there?

You should have a full alignment done after replacing parts like that, however i've never heard of an alignment problem causing this. How hard did you hit this curb?!?

Take it to a body shop and have them look at the control arms. They can tell you what you need to do. It would be very difficult to tell without looking at it what may be wrong. Don't take a chance with this one as if it's doing that, what else may be lurking for you. Steering and brakes are not something you want to take chances with.

Get it done soon.

Good Luck
