Can anybody tell me the size of the u joint opening at the end of the steering column. I'm replacing the steering rack and need a steering shaft between the pinion and steering column. So the opening is Splined and based on my count appears to be 36 and with calipers I measure about .650-.655. But that doesn't seem to match any standard sizes for ujoint and shafts. Anybody know exactly what is needed? This is a 96 2G.
