starts fine warms up, dies, acts like theres battery is dead and wont start until col

alright, so i just got a 94 tsi awd. 6 bolt swapped maft, super 18g, supposidy has 560cc injectors but im putting back 450s in it to rule things our. That it for mods. but i can start the car. i could go drive it, but after it gets up to normal temp it wont idle and just dies. If i try to start it right afterwards the starter acts like its not getting power and doesnt even try to turn over. so i could wait about a half hour go back out and i could probably start it. The car does start right back up from a push start as in it dies when i take it out of a gear then p[ut it back in to start it. So any ideas??

Check all your grounds first off.

It could also potentially be a starter, and is producing that symptom because the solenoid is not engaging properly once it reaches a certain temperature.

I was having a similar problem with a bad ISC. I screwed in the biss completely to fix idle surge and once it warmed up to reg operating temp, it wouldn't idle at all. Screwing out the biss would cause surge again. So, I changed the ISC and set the biss correctly and she's fine now. However, my starter had no play in this.

actually turned out to be a bad alternator fuze. Now i have a new problem of it sputtering at 5 grand so im not happy bout that.

The sputtering at 5k could be a simple boost leak.

If its sputtering at 5k, it sounds like a miss-fire. Im assuming its sputtering when your under full boost? There are a lot of things that could cause a miss-fire if that is the case. I can't help more till I get more information

ehh it was just a bad tune. put stock 450s in and it runs like a dream. just need a new valve cover and a few small other things and a tranny probably in the future and shell be good. so the problems are resolved!!
