I bought a 95 GS-T 5 spd the other day... Guy I bought it from said he was driving down the road and everythign just shut off, said he pulled the battery cable off and back on. Went to start it again and boom, everything went out.
When I picked it up, there was no battery in it, so we used a jump box on the positive cable, and the negative on a metal bracket, the car turned over several times but we couldnt get it to fireup.
Today I finally started messing around with it, I changed the plugs, after I used a set of jumper cables from the battery of my other car straight to the cables, it slowly turned over a few times but was pulling quite a draw from the other car so i stopped. I put the battery in and hooked up the cables, went to start the car, I had all lights on dash but when I turned the key to start it, everything shut off... Nothing..
Im totally stunned, I have no idea where to start.. Any help would be appreciated! thanks

Sounds like the wire connected to the starter or a break in the negative cable sounds like the same thing when you have a loose battery wire and go to start it and pops connection all lights and everything will go off, since there isn't much of an explanation to go off id start off by putting a battery that you know is good in the car check that the 20a engine fuse under the hood is not blown, test for spark and fuel and go from there. but yes i would definitely check the ground wire for breaks and the wires going to the starter or maybe even the starter itself.. Make sure nothing is grounding out "since you said there is a a lot of draw.. another thing.. did the car have a after market sound system or amp in the trunk? i once had a system and took the amp out and forgot to take the fuse out of the positive cable and had it ground out in the trunk and made the car die out and not start also caused a lot of electrical problems.. Look through all your fuses make sure nothing is grounding out. Let us know and good luck..

Check all the fuses.

Like others said. It's probably a big grounding fault. I had symptoms like this before when my car was broken into. Turned out they cut the fuse panel wires because of my alarm system. The cables were arcing which gave me the idea that there wasn't a problem. As soon as I went to go start it, the cables moved too much and the car died completely.

going to have to wait for some of the snow to melt, since my 97 is taking up my garage stall in the garage, this one has to sit outside! I have an extra starter, off my 97 just in case! Ill keep updates on my progress this weekend!! Thanks guys

Got out and played with the car the other day.. There was no ground problem, but a problem on the positive side cable. One of the terminals on the positive side was broken, not all the way it was barely making a connection, and when I cut the terminal off, the cable was packed full of battery acid.. I replaced all 3 positive terminals on the positive side and put on bot positive and negative post connectors. Power issue fixed, however still cant get it to start. It turns over but wont fire. I found a burned up coil pack and plug wire so I changed those out also, but still cant get it to fire up. It was close once but just wouldnt go. Thinking it may have bad gas in it since its been sitting since mid december.
