my eclipse does not want to start. the starter just makes a clicking noise and stops. i already changed the battery terminals and cleaned them just in case, i bought a new battery, new starter and i bypassed the starter relay but it still wont crank??? anything else that i should check? someone please help

it just has one of those killswitches that you put in a key looking thing into it so it can start y? would that cause it not to start? i also checked if the engine is seized and its not. i also disabled the clutch safety switch already.

Yeah I would Disable that Killswitch or just temporarily BYPASS it somehow. There is Probably a RELAY somewhere under the dash that CUTS the starter wire...you need to take that relay OUT and Re-Connect the starter wire...then try to start it!

sounds like a grounding problem, check your grounds to the block and tranny. good chence you will find your problem

o man this car has so many grounds on it i doubt it will be a ground loose but ill double check.

anything else i should check? can there be more reasons for the car to do this?

Check the ignition fuse and make sure the starter has is connected to ground. If that's not the case, I'd say recheck your wiring.

BTW, did you have this problem before you got a new battery, wiring and starter?

you may have to remove the housing around the steering column and check the wires to your ignition switch, i had one come loose once and did the same thing

i put up a vid of what it does. shitty quality but you get the idea. i checked the grounds again, bypassed the killswitch and starter relay, and checked the wires on the ignition switch. still wont start... anything else i should check?

it sounds like your solenoid is clicking but it doesnt sound like the trigger wheel is coming out.. thats usually a ground prolbem.. check the ground and the battery and at the starter.

i did that about 10 or more times LOL. i even got new wires just in case the other ones were messed up
