will the starter relay keep the car from starting if you push start it. my car will not turn over. dash lights come on you can hear a click from under dash. idk

You will still be able to push start it.

No the starter relay will not keep your car from running. It only controls the power flow to the starter. Your probably hearing the solenoid clicking underneath the hood.

maybe it flooded itself trying to start it. i will try to push start it more later today.

how old is the starter? Are you sure it's not a battery problem? That's what it always for me & the starter. Then again, my starter is brand new.

Starter is the oem that came on the car.
