Ok, im late for work b/c my car wont start.

My car is a stick. I just went out and drove to mcdonalds to bring back my lil sis and bro something. I turned it off to bring food inside, came back out and car wont start. (yes i know to hold in the clutch im not dumb LOL). Soon i turn the key, nothing happens, besides a little zing spin noise thats very low. This has happened to me before on a rainy day. I went to get gas.. everything was fine.. soon i filled up it wouldnt start. I had to wait like 15 mins and it finally started

HOW CAN I FIX THIS? WHAT IS DOING THIS?

I like to remove the tray that holds the battery in place when I do the starter, just for extra room to work in.

And get PB Blaster. Spray every bolt before you take it out, and before you put it back in. pb blaster eats rust- think of everything anyone ever told you about wd 40, forget it, and use pb blaster instead.

And use six point sockets, exclusively.

I think advance auto parts will test your starter for you to see if it still works. I know they do some stuff like that. It's good to bring in your old starter with you anyway to make sure that they are giving you the right one. I've had to go back a few times before. nuisance. like in the photo, those two starters aren't compatible.

And like absolute says, you need to change around your BOV. It looks like you're creating a lean condition when the car is running as unmetered air will be entering that tube off of the intake manifold (the square looking thing directly after the air filter itself has the sensors that meter the air.) And then when the air is released through the BOV i'm sure it sounds louder, and runs HORRID, as it is dumping out that metered air (actually in your case, half of it would be metered, the other half would be unfiltered coming in through that exposed tube, so maybe your car runs right when it blows off...)

Well i had my dad look at my car, he doesnt know alot but he knows the basics. He says it might not be my starter. Maybe a dead battery or electrical problem?. My lights radio, etc all go on. When i press the clutch and turn the key, nothing happens. A tiny ass spin noise. He said its not the noise a bad starter usally makes b/c it wont even crank.

Bang the starter with a hammer then, that tends to make them work temporarily.

But if youre already going through the trouble to get down there, you might as well pull it out and have it tested and/or replace. I think youll be surprised at how simple it really is with simple tools.

Its more than likely the starter. If you have power, obviously, the battery and all the cables/wiring is good, and the alternator isn't sucking your power dry. But when you go to start, the starter just doesn't supply the engine with the cranking ability it should. Go buy a starter from autozone, advanced auto. Follow the instructions above, and report back. Have some fun with your dad. It wont be too hard, just takes time when you dont know what your doing.

im having the same problem with my 1g, ive located it, for 2 weeks now its been working with a hammer, sometimes we push and pop, now its compeltley dead, ive been outside for a half hour, im so mad im thinking of going to autozone to pick up a starter and change it myself, the top bolt of the starter doesnt budge, and the 2nd one moves but wont come off, should i get a special wrench to unbolt this piece of shit?

No special wrench is required. Try to spray some penetrating lubricant and let it sit for a while. Then go back and try again. It should come loose with a little patience and effort. I like to try to use a socket with a decent size ratchet to get as much leverage as possible.
