so i just did an atomatic to manual tranny swap on my galant gsx. i took every part out of my eclipse to do it and now the last thing i have to do is start it. i replaced the auto starter with the manual one but when i turn the key theres a loud click and then nothing happens. any idea?

Did you splice the two starter wires that were in the automatic wiring harness? They are in a large connector that goes to the auto transmission and are black with a yellow stripe.

spacer? the large cut out up top the goes over the starter? if so then yes anything else?

thats what i thought it might be i guess i gotta take it off again unless anyone else has anything

Hey before you pull it just turn the key to on and jump the positive terminal on the starter to the body of the starter with a screw driver and that should give you a better idea.
