Okay I know this is annoying but im so excited and I have to tell you guys. I just ordered my star stage 2 finally after a year of trying to get my dad to lend me the money. So now I owe my dad 2964.99$ after toinght, but oh well it will be a damn good summer, my friends have an evo that we are working on and a 240SX that we just got a SR20DET motor for that we are putting it, deffinetly going to be sweet summer, I cant wait. How long did it take for you guys who ordered from importparts.com to get your kit, I dont need it till summer so I ordered now because i heard terror stories of people not getting there kits for months.

Thanks guys for all your knowlege and helping me choose what kit to get.

Mine came in 2-3 weeks from them they seem to be very good aspecially compared to howellautomotive, thats the place u prob heard the horror stories about.

You guys wait a couple weeks while mine takes a half year and I get the wrong fuel system. :thumbdown

Good luck with your setup though! Make sure you post pics too when its done.

Congragulations! I got my kit in less than 2 weeks. I ordered it from DiamondStarSpecialties.

Here's hoping your dad developes alzhiemers over his finances :thumb:

I got my stg 1 from them too... nice people however they never told me what trim my t3t4 was... and im not about to call and ask because the shipped the kit overnight from CA to NH for me and were supposed to use my UPS account, but never did. OMG

STAR instructions are VERY vauge. Woulda got a Hahn's kit, but those mofo's wanted a money order and I'm all set with sending $3k via money order...

yeah, I don't know about them. Cheap and fast shipping... but.... I called back and asked them which side of the WG was used to control the boost, top or bottom. It was just to make sure cause my buddy thought it was the bottom. A friend of mine, female DSM'er (woohoo) called them and said she knew me. They told her I didn't know shit and not to ever let me work on her car. Made me a little mad.

Wow these guys are awsome. I ordered my star stage 2 kit from Importparts.com on mon. i recieved it the following sat. 5 days!! i was shocked, I dont even have time to put it in yet, but I cant wait to be boosting! :) :thumb:

I just ordered from Overboost.com, anyone ordered from there? If so how long did it take?

if i order a Star kit...can i use the majority of the Hahn instructions?...is it all about the same?

basically. honestly the install is incredibly strait forward and you dont really need instructions if you do some research ahead of time. the only thing i looked at the instructions for was to install my fmu because there were no in/out labels on the one i got. i also used the vfaq walbro install to guide me through because i had never done it before, but that was incredibly easy too.

So Chris what are u waiting on before your finished?

One more question?

After I have my kit installed, there would be two more things that I have to have taken care.

Test pipe & flex pipe.

But if I tune my car before I add these two will it make a big difference?
I'm thinking it would but I'm not sure, and if so it looks like I'm going to have to wait longer before my car runs at peak performance.

I was hoping to have it all done from Thursday-Sunday so I could take it back up to school.

and we hijack another thread! ROFL

ive just gotta finish welding stuff. i have the hole in my manifold cut and the collector tacked up but im waiting till tomarrow to weld it because the school welder is out of argon and my dads work's welder is 10x better. then i gotta finish cutting and welding the pipes, and wire in the fcd. im almost there.

as for the test pipe and shit, i cant see it making an enormous difference but it definatly wouldnt hurt to wait for it.

**gives thread back** :thumb:
