i have a 2g eclipse that im swapping a 7bolt into.the motor that i bought is an automatic. i have a problem with connecting the flywheel to the crank. the problem is that there is a circle peice in the middle the automatic peice that was on it fit, but does not fit with the standard flywheel, this being there prevents the bolts from sticking out far enough to catch a thread so i cannot bolt it up. any suggestions:confused::confused:

this is the engine side

If you have a dremel/cutoff tool tool you can cut into it to weaken the exerting force on the inner bore of the crank snout or you can also use a fine point (punch tool) and slam on it with a hammer after spraying lubricant on the edges and inner bore.

The alignment dowel pin isn't a big issue it's just makes a flywheel easier to install.

What is the wet toliet paper trick? Wet it and pack it in and push the bushing out? I have seen on ground down flush.:ohdamn:
The wet toilet paper really surprised me..... all you do is wet some paper... pack in into the hole... take a socket that fits snug into the hole, then turn it backwards in the hole, put on a extention and wack it a few times and presto... it falls right out. As you compact the paper with each hit, you will have to add more wet paper. Mine popped out on the fourth hit
