stalls when clutch in under 1500

Just got the car so I dont know how it was before, but if I drive slowly in 3 4 or 5 gear and slow down to 1500rpm it dies when I press the clutch and put it into neutral. Holding the clutch does the same thing. If I do it 1500-2000rpm it will stutter and almost die.
I'm going to try to shim the idle adjustment on the TB but I'd like more opinions and possible fixes

stop driving like my grandma ed.. jk..Throttle cable has prob never been moved or shitty bolts striped or broke in the IM set it up a bit to maybe 1% throttle it WILL never shut off with clutch in 3 4 5 driving AGAIN

well I'm breaking in the engine
There is very little slack in the throttle cable, but I believe it should be there. What's the chances the IAC isnt kicking in while the rpm drop?
