Ok heres the problem, I just bought this car about a month ago and on the way back from buying it I decided to get on it a little bit:D to see what she felt like. Well, then I had to put the car in neutral and slow down real quick, hence, here is the problem. After WOT and the rpm's are high and it is in neutral the rpms drop way down and the car dies no matter how fast I am going. What could be the cuz of this.

Check my profile for mods!!

This scared the CRAP out of me first time it did this because I was probably going 60mph and didnt know what to do!!!

This also happened to my old talon TSI as well.

If you have an aftermarket blow off valve that vents to the atmosphere (search for this if you don't understand what I'm talking about) then the car will stall from high rpms when you press in the clutch. You need to recirculate the BOV back into the intake track like it was meant to be.

I am having the exact same problem. All the researching I have done so far goes to my ISC(idle speed control) sensor being bad. I have my car put away for winter so I haven't got to replace it to see if that is the problem. I hope so. Also, there is a way to test them, but I can't remember the site that shows you how.

Hmm, if it were the ISC, then you would likely have other problems as well, such as idle surge. When my ISC went bad, my car would surge between 1000 and 2000 rpm.

I do have an aftermarket BOV, however, it is recirculated like it should be. So that rules that out. Any more thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

You may want to carefully examine your BOV recirculation tube for any signs of cracks or small openings which could cause you to be venting to the atmosphere unintentionally. Also check any hose clamps between the BOV and recirc tube and between the recirc tube and the intake pipe to make sure they are snug.

i am pretty sure everything is nice and tight.......I will double check tho. I have a custom intake setup I will post a pic of.

Just wanna share my experience on this problem. Had the same problem with my 4G63T motor, using the HKS SSqv bov. Tried a lot of stuff which includes:

- Cleaning the throttle body
- check the ISC
- Change the air flow sensor

But none of them work. So I decided to buy an electronic idling stabilizer, bought the HKS EIDS type-K and it fixed the problem.

Another alternative is to a standalone which uses a map sensor instead of the airflow sensor.

Hope this help. Thanks.

did you have the battery disconnected at any point in time my 95 gsx does the stall when you reset the comp but after like 20 start ups or so long of driving it will come back again and be fine it is possible that your ecu is trying to relearn all the settings such as idle :thumb: hope this helps

thanks guys, I do have dsmlink v2 so that should take care of it as for the standalone part correct.? But, Draven you make a very good point. Yes in fact on the way home from picking it up the battery terminal shook lose and I had to take it off and tighten it so yes the battery was disconnected. It also threw a code in the stock cd player and I had to drive it home all the way from NY to MI without any music.........nothing but loud Apexi exhaust LOL

now the car is in storage, so once I get it back driving the ecu should pick everything up and it shouldnt do it anymore? Thanks for the help.
