I just installed SS lines up front on my car to swap to big brakes up front, and after tightening them down, on both sides I have a leak on the first SS line. It's coming out right after the lines connect to the hard lines. Bad flare? This is literally the last thing keeping my car on blocks and it's a little frustrating. Any ideas?

cheapest way would be make the rubber lines go a little further to connect to the hard lines if it is that close, other than that clean them up and say they came that way?

Hcaruso - my thoughts exactly. Called RRE and no one can help me today :-/

slugo -- wat?

Check and make sure that there is nothing in the brake line like a piece of plastic off of the cap coming off. It took me a day to figure it out.

Took a look in there. There were no caps to be in there either. But nothing.

I meant check for anything in the seat of the line. It could be a piece of dirt, flake of metal, anything.

Yeah I checked everywhere pretty thoroughly. It torques down fine, and even if i torque the hell out of it it still leaks out of the bottom of the fitting

Oh the bottom? No fluid coming from the threaded part? I thought thats where the leak was.

Yeah the bottom - it's like its bypassing the tube and leaking out the side. I don't know how to describe it I've never seen this before.
