Stainless Pipe for DIY Job

Hey,

Like the title said, I am looking for places to buy stainless steel 3" pipe to start the build of my DIY exhaust. All the places I have seen charge an arm and a leg. The cheapest I came across was www.burnsstainless.com
If anyone has any idea where I can find cheap stainless material, please let me know

In addition, I would also like to know where I could buy the cheapest flanges and gaskets. Is that still RRE or can I find them less expensive somewhere else?

Sorry to respond with an answer, but just out of curiosity, what type of welder do you plan on using?

One of my bodies has a shop with every type of welder possible so I hope to use one of his. Therefore, whatever he tells me works the best on stainless.

Okiedokie. I was just wondering, because most inexpensive welders require some modification to weld stainless steel.

Also, (assuming you've never welded before, if you have, disregard -) if he has some scrap metal to play around with, try that before you weld on your expensive stuff, or just have him do it. Wouldn't want you to burn through a nice piece of costly stainless steel piping, or make a weld that won't hold. It can get expensive, quick.

DAM! That is C-H-E-A-P! KILLER find MNGSX! Is it truely 3" at the flange(s)? How does it sound? How much was shipping?

Its not 3" at the front flange... It is 1" back from it and all the way the rest of the way back... Just get a megan ss downpipe and cut the flange off that and splice... Or get what ever DP you want... I'm full 3" ss turbo back right now for around $400.. plus it uses ever stock hanger and has the most ground clearance I have seen in any 3" system. Even my ST rear swaybar cleared perfectly. Im with it. I just used two ss strap style clamps and a short peice of 3" SS tubing to connect them.

That is a really nice price, and would be really nice if I had a 2g, but I don't

Hit up the muffler and metal fab shops in your area. Oh, and ask for "tubing" instead of "pipe".
