i bought a 99 eclipse 420a about 3 weeks ago, and i need to get it through emissions (im an emissions inspector actually) its got intake header exhaust, and P/O put in stage 1 obx cams, but check engine light is on for an ignition misfire code... is it possible cams are just shit and even installed correctly are throwing a light? I'm starting to learn about dsm's because so far I love them but maybe some experienced dsmers will be able to help, thanks!!

Its your cams. I've seen obx cams throwing misfire codes on more than one occasion.

It true that the CPS can do that but obx cams are terrible quality control and are all over causing performance issues. Assuming the small amount of info we have from the OP the cams are the likely culprit.
