Recently I had the shocks changed on my 97 eclipse with the KYB AGX shocks. The shop I brought it to put new bushings in and however they said they could only get a hold of 2 mounts. I told them to just use the original mounts as long as they were still good and to use the original springs.

After the job was done, I drove about 4 miles to Firestone to get the car aligned since I have lifetime alignment there. The drive there, I did not hear a squeak however, I only drove 50mph.

The guy at Firestone said they aligned the front, however, there was very little he could do for the rear but said it was still withing the alignment zone.

Today driving to work, when I get around 60mph the squeaking from the rear starts and it is pretty much constant.

So what's the deal? New shocks, new bushings, original springs and original mount. Is the mount bad? Is it possible for springs to squeak?

Yes. Everything is fine until 60, then the squeaking starts.

Before I had the suspension changed, the squeak would only happen if I hit a bump. Now it's just a constant squeak.

There is a slight vibration but that happens when the car is stopped as well.

I replaced all 4 tires a month ago. I would guess the shop that did the suspension change would put the lug nuts on correctly.

Did they replace the mount with a polyurethane part? Usually bushings such as Energy suspension (Poly) will squeak when its cold or when someone didn't use enough of the provided lube.

Hmmm, that I don't know. I will def ask.

Drove the car home y'day from work with no squeaking. Must have been the cold weather in the morning. Still does make a squeak on bumps but at least it isn't a constant squeak on regular driving.

I'm thinking about getting the Prothane bushings to replace what is there. Since I'll have the suspension off, anything else I should look to replace?
