Recently I had the shocks changed on my 97 eclipse with the KYB AGX shocks. The shop I brought it to put new bushings in and however they said they could only get a hold of 2 mounts. I told them to just use the original mounts as long as they were still good and to use the original springs.
After the job was done, I drove about 4 miles to Firestone to get the car aligned since I have lifetime alignment there. The drive there, I did not hear a squeak however, I only drove 50mph.
The guy at Firestone said they aligned the front, however, there was very little he could do for the rear but said it was still withing the alignment zone.
Today driving to work, when I get around 60mph the squeaking from the rear starts and it is pretty much constant.
So what's the deal? New shocks, new bushings, original springs and original mount. Is the mount bad? Is it possible for springs to squeak?
