Hey guys recently bought a 98 spyder gs... Fixed some body damage and got it all set to go... It drove great for a day then I filled the tank with gas and in less than 10 miles I'm getting a lot of stuttering, jerking, hesitating, and at idle the car is almost dieing and will get worse if I give it some gas. I first assumed that some bad gas or a clog in fuel filter would be the problem since it happened right after I filled the tank. The reason i came here is that if I get the car above 1.2k RPM its runs much better with almost no stuttering which to me, would not be the case if it was a fuel issue. Other similar issues I've found were related to O2 sensors and MAF sensors but I'm not sure where to start. Any help or advice ephod be great! Thank you!
Also there are no CEL's
Update : if I unplug the MAF the car runs great so im assuming the maf is bad
Update 2: Car will run fine with the MAF plugged in for about 1-2 min when engine is cold. When the engine begins to warm up and the rpms start to come down the problem suddenly kicks in, but before that everything runs perfectly. So from what i can tell from searching it may be the CTS or the O2 sensor and not the MAF itself.
