spyder convertible top leaks [Merged 1-8] leak leaking

I own a 98 eclipse spyder Gs.Every time it rains,the inside of my car gets wet.The water leaks in between the top of the window and the convertible top.I replaced the top,but no change.
...................PLEASE HELP MY LEAKY PROBLEM.............................

Alright I'm pretty confident that this thread is dead? If its still alive in some way, here is my problem, that I might have a conclusion for. Where the water comes in on my Spyder is where the top meets the frame of the car. It's not like it pours in, it just starts to drip once it has rained a lot. I stick my hand in that handle where you can pull the top down to latch, and its full of water. So when I'm driving turn, or hit the brakes that's when it just pours, till its empty. My conclusions to this that I've narrowed down is, in the rear on the passenger side the aluminum bar that helps the top go up and down, keeps it aligned. Well that bar has snapped. So in my mind I'm thinking, well because that is broken, there isn't enough tension being pressed on the A/B pillars. The leak doesn't start at the drivers side, it starts and happens the most on the passenger side, probably because of the aluminum bar....could this be right? Also as far as the latches, my driver side latch pulls the top down very well. For the passenger side now, the latch doesn't even seem to do anything other than prevent it from flying open, any tips to get that to be more of a seal? The screws on it are as tight as I can get them before I start stripping the dang things haha.

I have the exact same problem, except my aluminum bars are all in prefect shape. My convertible top doesn't even go down, though. I'm going to try to get some weather stripping tape, and put some on the top of the windshield weather strip, and put another strip on the part where the convertible top meets the top of the windshield. I'm going to use it around the side windows too. Another thing. My rear window leaked, so I put some latex sealer (same as caulk) all along the bottom side of the window. That seems to have helped with that leak, but I still need to add just a little bit more. I'll be sure to let everyone know about my progress. Unless I don't make any. . Then I might just go into a corner and hide myself from the rest of the world.

Any progress having the same problem can't figure out where it's getting in other then by the trunk

I just bought a water proof car cover made by rain x and throw it over my car when it's parked outside and it's raining consistently. I store it in my trunk when I don't need it. It only seems to leak if you let it sit in the rain for a while and water has a chance to build up. When I used to have a garage to keep it in it never leaked when driving it out of the garage even if it was pouring. It only leaked when it was parked in the rain for a while.

I've had two Spyders over the years, and they have both leaked. The first one only really leaked at the front corners like most everyone here. However, my current one leaks everywhere. Everywhere as in it's like I leave my top down while it rains. I know the top needs to be replaced, and I'm willing to buy the new top once I can find a place that'll replace it for me at a reasonable price (taking a while there). But, until that happens, I need to spray something on the canvas to at lease reduce the amount of water coming in and ruining everything. I did it once before, but the spray never really worked. Can anyone recommend a proven good product I can spray my top with?
