I just installed a mbc on the car this last tuesday night and I am having a few questions. First off what is the sputtering? It is inconsistant and only happens under boost.

At first when i took the car out after installing the mbc it did not sputter, but after reviewing the directions I realized forgot to seal off the pressure hose to the compressor housing in lu of the new line in the bov line, for what ever reason the car felt strong and did not sputter but the check engine light came on.

after I fixed the vacuum lines the sputtering came back. Any ideas how to fix this?

I am afraid to turn up the boost now because it sputters even harder the more I turn up the boost.........

Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? If so, how much boost are you running? If not, then remove that boost controller go buy a aftermarket boost gauge, hook it up then hook up the boost controller. You might be allowing too much boost, or not enough. Did you try searching the forums for answers? Those are my suggestions but i could be way off. Give it sometime and someone will give you the right answer.
GOOD LUCK:thumb: :talon:

do a leak down test. You may be leaking boost somewhere which would cause the studdering, not getting as much air as the computer thinks you should be getting, and is dumping to much fuel in the cylenders.

No shit? :suprised:
I know I have a couple small leaks, but I didn't think it would do all of that.......

I have a leaky bov (2gen obviously), and I also have a small leak between the intake mani and the throttle body.

well all those small leaks get alot more pressure put onto them can become bigger leaks. I had a pretty bad leak, and thats what my car did. After 3lbs of boost i lost al power. Lucky for me i just had to readjust my UICP.
