So from what I hear, Eibach Pro-kits for a 1g AWD are discontinued now. I was planning on running these on my 1g with a set of AGX. Is there any other spring that has identical purposes as the Pro-Kits did? I'm not looking to be lowered. I know people use the AGX/Pro-Kit combo for 1/4 tracks for the performance they had on their launch and etc.

Please do not say coilovers. If all else comes to it, I will sell my AGX shocks with the Tein Tech S. springs that are on them now and buy a set of coilovers. But for right now, I'm just looking for input on what spring I should get since the Pro-kits for a 1g AWD are discontinued.

Post a WTB for some Pro-kit springs or buy coilovers, I had AGX's and they were the WORST strut I have ever put on my car. They are complete junk.

You would say coilovers, James.

I will most likely go coilovers just to end the suspension needing. Just wanting some input on if there is any other spring and what it is, is all.

The agx sucks when lowered past 1" which is why they suck. But if used only in the rear they work wonders. The best cheap setup is what I used to run till I just sold them but it was the Prokit with AGX rear struts and GR2 front struts. You keep the agx's at the softest setting on the street and it worked awesome. Then when you hit the track you tighten them up for less squat on launch.

While not the optimal setup, coilover sleeve kits like the Ground Controls would also be a little cheaper than a full blown coilover.

I forgot all about Ground Controls! I'll definitely give a look out tomorrow for them. Still may just go for coilvers and not worry about it later.

Get coilovers LOL you won't look back I promise.

And I made 336whp and 391lb/ft tq @31psi with a 16g on 91 piss gas, why are your numbers so low Jay???

Most likely you are on the dynoqueen!! (dynojet). My car would have made 400whp on a dynojet. ECMlink usual estimates HP around a dynojet and it has hit 434whp before. Load bearing dynos show a lot lower more accurate number.

^ Dyno's are for showing positive or negative results from changes in the tune and parts. It's a test, the number it spits out really doesn't mean crap. You want to see a good display of your cars power. Go to the drag strip and look at your mph.

Who says they are not optimal? Do you even know how a coiler is made? Don't even look at coil overs as the budget for a decent said may be way out of your means. AGX shocks are pretty decent but the problem lies with your S techs. The chance of you riding on your bump stops with those springs is fairly high and handling suffers dramatically. H&R makes a great spring. I wish swift made springs for this car but that is just not the case. Pro-kit springs are on the soft side. Try swapping out your springs and see how you like the car. A proper strut/spring combo will blow away any budget coil over as far as comfort and handling goes. I wouldn't look at a ground control kit unless you track your car and when I say track I am not talking about quarter mile.

Which is why I want the Pro-kits. They don't lower your much, if any at all. It will be street and down the drag track more than anything. Almost had my hands on a set but he sold them. So now, looking for them.

What are the rates and the drop on the H&R's compared to the pro kit?

I couldn't tell you. I don't see many people with the H&R springs compared to the Pro-Kits for a drag-purpose car.

If anyone knows that answer, feel free to chime in.

Well the pro kits are softer then the sport lines which are probably similar to the H&R's. Damn I just went on Eibach's site and they don't even display either springs for the AWD model. I just found this in another thread.

These are spring rates we collected, but can not guarantee their accuracy.

For aftermarket springs, we do not have data on the differences between AWD and FWD.

Rates are in lb/in.

H&R Race Springs (AWD and FWD have the same rate):
Front - 430
Rear - 260
Eibach ProKits:
Front: 330
Rear: 160
Suspension Techniques:
Front: 200
Rear: 160
Stock (Non Turbo/Auto Tranny/Manual Tranny):
OEM Stock 1G FWD
Front: 134
Rear: 128.8
OEM Stock 1G AWD
Front: 146
Rear: 140
95-96 OEM Stock 2G AWD
Front: 265
Rear: 162 (+/- 8)
97-99 OEM Stock 2G AWD
Front: 246
Rear: 151
95-96 OEM Stock 2G FWD
Front: 246
Rear: 173
97-99 OEM Stock 2G FWD
Front: 246
Rear: 151

Yeah, they discontinued them so it's extremely hard to find a set.

Hmm... wonder what I should get? I don't want to be lowered, that's the one thing I will not get a spring. The Tein Tech S slammed the car. I will be running 245/50/16 Nitto's on my Kosei K1's so I need stock ride heigh but without the stock suspension. I may just end up selling the setup I have.

I mean that he's putting the sleeves on AGXs, not Konis. Yes I know about how good the GC setup *can* be, but even others on this forum have noticed a completely different handling difference after going from the AGXs to Koni yellows.
