I currently have a 255LHP fuel pump, 550cc injectors, and a big 16g. I've recently acquired a N2O kit and was thinking about spraying a 75-100shot. I have a wideband O2 and a S-AFC.

I have heard that when you spray, the wideband becomes less accurate. Causing a bad tune and possibly harming the motor. Is there any truth to this? Besides going richer, what type of percautions should I take if I decide to spray?

From what I understand, you can have a perfect AF reading on boost only but once sprayed its a whole different ball game. Your pretty much going to have to drive the car on the rich side and tune the car with boost+nitous and run on that tune if your going to spray alot. If your using nitrous more often than most people, the best what to tune" for nitrous is to learn how your car is and to read those plugs and change them out. Keep a good eye and watch to see how the car is running. You will go through plugs faster and might use up a bottle trying to get a good tune on it.

Go over to LS1tech.com and hang out in there nitrous forum, one of the most active ones ive seen so far.

Wow! Ask and receive, thanks for the answers and the link. Hopefully he goes with that set-up and posts a review soon.

My next question is this: I'm on an 18psi street tune. I would like to be able to run 18psi or close to it with spray at the track. For now while I'm working out the tune for the spray, should I lower the boost? And then bring it up until I have it where I want? Or should I just try to tune it at 18psi?

Since your at 18psi and on a internal gate, your going to creep from all that exhaust energy spinning that lil wheel up so fast. I would turn the boost down to 14psi and see if it creeps up to 18psi and stays there. Your going to get creep with spray, so make sure your turbo is ported well or you could go with a ex gate and hold boost much better.

Lower the boost, and see how the car reacts and I would look into using 100octane or a little more to be safe.

PM me and ill explain better

I think the best bet would be to start out using the smallest shot possible while you learn how to tune on nitrous then work your way up, better to be safe than sorry :thumb: good luck and tell us how it reacts, I might want to use a 35 shot just for kicks in a year or two.

Also true, if you start with a smaller shot you can work you way up and see how the car likes it and tuned and dial it out etc

I'm going to look into my options and contact some shops that I know are running nitrous on their turbo cars before I install the kit. After a little more research it seems like a nitrous set-up might be hard to tune on just an S-AFC. I think I will invest in an AEM before installing the nitrous. I am confident that with the proper tune my 16g car will run great numbers with a 75-100shot. I'll keep you all posted.
