edmonton,
I read about the stuff that auto restore does, how it "cures" lifter tick for others that have tried it so I have decided to give it a try, even though my lifters only tick a little

I got the 4 cylinder formula but while I was pouring it, i spilled a bit of it and some went on around the back of the engine block; I tried wiping the ones that are visible by the valve cover, but there are still some of it sitting by where the injectors are; is this okay or will this cause any damage?

haha, I figured I'd read that from someone ROFL but yeah, i'm pretty new with familiarizing myself with cars plus this is my first 'decent' car so I get really paranoid and baby it as much as I can when possible (except when boosting sometimes.. which can't be helped when you drive a turbo car i guess LOL) :thumb:

I agree that it likely will not cause any damage to the aluminum or iron surfaces and the injector seals are made to resist damage from fuel so that should be fine also. However you may want to read the following relative to the use of oil additives in a turbo engine. Scroll about half way down to where it says "Additives and Turbo Engines - Read Carefully".

I'm don't know if this info is completely reliabe but it is something to think about. Unless you did before and after compression tests to verify that the product truly works (or even if it is really needed) you may want to reconsider using this product in your turbo engine.
