Spend my money DSM'ers LSD help needed

Ok, just like the title says, I have and extra 2500 bucks I want to put into my car. My plans are for around 300 or so HP. Iv got my hands on a small 16g turbo but I don't have any supporting mods to run more boost with this 16g, So here is my list of priorities; Turbo ( T25 is toast ) new tires, and I really want LSD transmission Im not sure quite sure what route to go with this.. Iv seen sheptrans.com stuff for 950$ but really... Id just be happy with any kind of transmission that had LSD any thoughts on that? Then after that I planned on fuel upgrades, 660 injectors and a 190 fuel pump. (I really cant see myself making more than 400hp with a fwd car) Also how long do you suppose I can get away with using a SMIC with the 16g turbo? Are there any seasonably priced FMIC kits that fit up with the stock bumper well? Thanks for your input

Convert to awd. Better than any LSD you'll buy and you'll be addicted to driving your car. Also remember, buying used where u can get away with it can make your money go almost twice as far as new. Then with the $1700 you're left with, get a clutch, EVO3 16g used/rebuilt or for about the same amount, a hx35 in dsm housing, o2/dp, vrsf fmic, 1000cc injectors, and 255 pump. Get it tuned and enjoy the money well spent and the new 400-500awhp love of your life.

Im not doing an awd swap sorry. I really dont even have the means to work on my own stuff unless its something somewhat small....I dont have a garage.

Also most of the stuff im buying is used such as the 16g.. Id buy a used transmission if I knew where buy one

Well, you could always put the car for sale and with that money plus your $2500, buy an awd model. No LSD is going to touch an awd setup in terms of handling or traction. Since the first day I test drove my first awd car, I haven't owned anything but since. I suppose that's just a preference. Either way, I think a LSD or built tranny should be MUCH further down on your mod list. With your current mods, you have a long way to go before getting to that point. Also, keep in mind that sheps $950 rebuild does NOT include a LSD. For a built trans with LSD, you're looking at about $3k or more. The LSD alone is $950 and installation would be roughly $300.,to not upgrade the other components of the tranny while in there would just be silly. For $800 or so you can have a complete awd swap and I'm sure you could find a local dsm'r to do it for you for $700 or less in a weekend. Trust me, it'll be the best upgrade you'll ever do. Ask anyone else that's gone awd what they think or if they'd ever go back...

I understand how almighty the awd setup is...if I wanted awd setup id buy an Evo or Sti. I live in the Midwest there's just not a lot of means for me to have an awd dsm/awd swap. Im lucky to have a gst as cheap as I got it. I really dont need more than 350HP to pretty much beat everything with in a 300 mile radius. If I want grip then Ill just put on pair of drag tires...Im ok with this

It's not meant to be a " whose got the biggest Dick" kinda thing. I thought you just wanted the most performance and enjoyable driving experience for your money. Otherwise, I'd just follow the same steps I listed, without the awd swap.

Your all stuck on awd ... I dont have awd or lsd and I don't have any problems. He is not even making enough power right now to even worry about awd unless he was trying to rally the car, witch I don't think he is. Just do maintenance and supporting mods, if your sticking with then16g and you have link just get 1000cc injectors, walbro 255, exhaust, front mount intercooler and a tune. Anything more then that you will start breaking stuff or wheel spinnng off the line unless you got some good tires. Going fast isn't that hard of course the only way to go faster is how deep your pocket book is. Stock trans can do u good on the 16g oviosily u need clutch and stuff if you want. I love my auto its bullet proof. So start there that list should be long enough to keep you busy. To give you an idea I make about 388whp at 30psi on e85, so start raking in that money.

Well not every dsm needs to have a awd to be a good car either..

Im near by you I dont live in kearney anymore but im not to far away. Im in cairo its 13 miles northh of woodriver. I gave space and the tools to help you do almost anything.
