Recently the car got a new battery. Before the battery, everytime i turn up the volume to 12, the speakers would go dead and have no sound. I turn off the cd player and turn it back on and lower the volume to 11 and the speaker will be on without going dead. Now that I got a new battery i can go up to 14-15 volume. higher than that then the sound would go dead. And only three of the speakers work (The driver side, passenger side, and rear passenger right side). The other speaker where the front window and the passenger left side does not work. What is the problem to the speakers?

There are a number of things that could be wrong. Could have a cut wire. Maybe the wire was dissconnected from the speaker. Could have a hot wire grounded out. The only real way to find out for sure would be to tear into it and look. Electricity is a tricky thing sometimes. If everything going to that speaker isnt JUST right...it wont work. The speaker may be dead aswell. I have had to replace my door speakers b/c they were just dead. Not having your audio equipment not working right is a pain in the butt I know!! :thumb: Good luck! :thumb:

do you have an aftermarket head unit? I'm pretty sure that causes the tweeters (by the windshield) to stop working. All my speakers work but mine also cut out at a certain volume level. I bought my car with a pioneer headunit so i dont know if it has restrictions to volume (for some reason) or if its wired bad, or if my speakers suck or what.

i got a aftermarket one. kenwood mp3 player with the car...:D . How do i know which wire goes to which wires to get my car's volume go higher?
