I say it all depends on boost and power goals. I'd use the 6's for anything under 18-20psi, and use 7's for anything over 18-20psi. NGK's BPR7ES are good for at least 360-400whp... just make sure your gapped properly. i run 7's on 24psi 91 octane and gap to .024 -.022 to make sure not to blow out the spark. Good Luck, hope this helps out. Where are you doing your tune/dyno runs at?

fftec ,cant find any 7s so guess im stuck with 6s ,,20psi on 6s .028 would be ok:confused:

I'd go with a little less gap in my opinion. just to make sure you don't blow out the spark. FFTEC knows whats up! So go with what they suggest. Plus i think they might even have 7's in the shop to sell you. 20psi tappering to prob 16-17psi to redline should be a a fast spooling torque fun car. I'm gonna make a guess and say 220-250whp....curious to see what that setup makes. What kinda of fuel are you running?

He's not going to blow out the spark only making 220-250whp, going with less gap on a plug that isn't colder is just going to make it heat up more since there's less space for the air to cool down the spark.

Right and i totally agree, but .028 is stock gap on 2G's. If it were me i would close the gap a little more, even with 6's. Just my opinion.

I meant closer than .028, I agree with .028 on 6s being good for stock-ish setup. On a 20g I'd still go to 7's @ .028

I was close to 270-280whp or so @ 18psi on my td06 20g on a chip and no cams, with a real tune I don't see why 300whp wouldn't be possible even @ 18psi, if he's only running 20psi I don't see why it would taper down even with a td05 20g.

running piss 91oct

250whp on pump thats low i expected over 300 @20psi on 20g ...guess i findout soon:hmm:

got some 7s what you guys think gap .026:thumb:

You'll be fine @ .028, 300whp isn't a lot of power, if you had a car pushing 400whp+ on stock ignition and a lot of boost then yeah, maybe you would need to, but at the point you're at you'll be fine @ .028.

I would start there and see how it goes. 91 octane really sucks. 250whp on FFTEC mustang is good power, but 300whp is much better. Looking forward to see what it makes!

wow seems like baby numbers on alex209 whp. i was gonna say i can get you some 7s here at global but theyre expensive. besides you already got some. 250 whp on pump on a 20g? makes my evo3 looking really bad LOL. if his 20g is just gonna get 250whp @ 18psi to 20 psi that means my evo 3 gonna make 200whp @ 20 psi or so hahahahhahaha. im eager to see what he makes and if he does make only 250 at 18-20 psi man my evo 3 will be up for sale hahahahaha.

See a lot of people don't understand, is that FFtec mustang dyno reads low. Not that low numbers are bad on their dyno. When i got my tune from sean, at 18psi i made 215 whp on 91 octane. With that power i was surprised at how hard my car pulled!! A stock EVO VIII only makes 225whp on their dyno. All mustang dyno's will read a little lower than a dyno jet. I hope you break 300whp on a 20g with pump on a mustang dyno, cause its going to be one strong FWD 2G!

I would have to say buy going on two different dynos to see the difference, and you'll know your WHP by doing so. At Thunder Hill Raceway in Willows, a company called MCE Racing has a very new Dyno Jet. You get 3 baseline pulls for $60 everyday! Its only $150 for 12 pulls to do a Dyno tune. One of the best prices I've ever seen. I've had my car dyno'ed at FFtec's mustang dyno and at Thunder Hill's dyno jet. So it's safe to say i have an idea of how much WHP my car makes.

When mines done I'm going to take it somewhere where its not a mustang dyno. I just can't see my baby do low numbers on what I have. Even if low numbers means good LOL

Then find a Dyno Jet Dynometer to do your pulls on. LOL. They are the one of the most standard dyno's on the market. They read a little higher cause of the different way it reads power. Like I was saying Thunder Hill has a 2WD Dyno Jet, it's really new and cheap as hell. No one has $60 for three pulls anywhere...maybe one place in sac but im not to sure. What i like about the 2WD Dyno Jet at Thunder Hill is that the guy was super chill and let me double check the tie downs and also spray cold water on the IC to try and keep cool. He let me do what i thought was comfortable before he did any pulls.

We'll just wondering when you were going to get the Dyno tune? Or if you all ready had, what power did you end up with?
