sound like a good deal for a 14b?

A dude i know has a 14b with 64,000 miles on it, he said i could have it for 200. Does that sound like a good deal? my car has a 13g on it now so it would be a direct bolt on. I havnt checked it for shaft play yet but i will. Sound like the right pirce to anyone??? O and the reason he has it is because he 16g'ed his talon.

Thats a decent price if there isn't any shaft play. Definately check the turbo out before you buy it.

You could also probaly get the price down a bit.

Sounds alot like a deal i was offered. $200 is on the very high side for a 14b. should be in near mint condition, either low miles or rebuilt. because for 150 more, you can get a 16g used, and that will be newer and have less miles.

Most 14bs run 100-150.

Or just do your buddy a favor and get the 14b for free like i did.

I would try to talk him down to at least $150. If it isn't in excellent condition, then try to knock it down to $100-125.

He's a 95.
Posiblythe only 2g in the world w/ a 13g but its probaly better then my stock t-25 so I got no room to talk.
However, since the 13g needs a different exhaust manifold from the 14b then don't you also have to change that even if it is on your 2g?

Nothings diff on a 1g EXTERNAL SETUP wise on the 13b to 14b swap.
Should bolt up without a problem.

okay now i'm REALLY confused.. if a 1g ATX can swap to a 14b no problem then WTF is up with the install kit from SBR??

and if he's a 95 why the hell does he have a 13b? 2g's have t25's...

You meam 13g? his previous owner or himself may have been in a crunch to find a turbo quick when it died and settled with a 13g.

Which install kit do you speak of from SBR?

If he has a 13g in his car, either the previous owner already bought some type of install kit to go from garrett to mitsubishi turbo's, or he did it the ghetto rigged way. Regardless, he should be able to salvage from parts and install a mitsu turbo.
