Sonar Halo Projectors... good/bad?

I just found a pair of Sonar brand Halo Projector headlights (see image below) for my 98 GSX for a pretty good price, but i've read a few negative comments about them. if you have any kind of experience with Sonar products, can you give some input? i don't want to install them if they aren't reliable.

as an alternative, i've heard good things about TYC. any other reliable brands out there?

I liked those too, but my experience with aftermarket headlights is not good. THose ones i got broke pretty easily, beacuse it was cheap plastic. Im debating them too.

they look like they would be ok.

the only ones i like, i,ve seen them in person and they are good looking but very cheeply made. but i am still going to get them

i'm going to try them, too. i haven't seen any others out there that i like.

i keep hearing that they're poor quality, so i might try to take the whole thing apart and re-build them myself to make sure they're leak-proof and that everything works properly. we'll see what happens...
