Someone Who has done a leakdown test

Hey guys,

I am doing leakdown test on my new setup

and i notice after i pump up to about 10 psi air starts shooting out of this little hole in my boost controller, Its a hallman ES. Is it supposed to do that??

yes thats how an mbc controls boost. Block off the lines or loop one and then do your test.

And that's not a leakdown test. A leakdown test involves pumping shop air directly into the cylinder while it is at TDC and seeing if any air escapes. It will tell you if your piston rings, valves, or headgasket is bad.
