hey guys looking to upgrade my roll stops while my trans is out im not too worried about vibration so that being said is there an advantage to running the solid roll stops vs the poly ones? any benefits on the launch since the motor wont twist as much? 60ft time improvements?

solid mounts are a bi*** to install. I have had both solid and 90a and I like 90a better because they absorb alot of vibration and yet maintain the stiffness for racing.

Solids are fine for 1/4 mile runs but way too harsh to drive around with.

i thought the side mounts dampened the vibration? ill take your word for it tho i was just looking for a very solid launch, i just had my center diff welded, got an act 2600 and aluminum flywheel as well as a black box ecu and ecuflash so i wanna get a pretty nasty launch off the two step. got some mustangs to embaress

I realized you are the guy I sold the AWD fuel hangers! I didnt pay attention to the user name until now haha. how are they doing?

I have the full set of Avid Racing billet mounts. Mine are the 75A mid-range stiffness so they don't transmit too much vibration. My 60' went from a best of 1.7 down to a 1.6 so they are definitely up to the task. (This is also on 225/40/18 street tires.)

I once swapped out just the rear mount for a solid one on my DD. All the other mounts were stock. It was completely awful and totally unbearable on the street. The whole car and every singe panel in the interior rattled and it had the unexpected side effect of transferring a whole lot more noise into the cabin as well. It would work for a gutted race car but would be really annoying for a car that spent any time on the street.

alright thanks man ill just grab the poly inserts then and press them in there mind as well do all 4. .1 off a 60ft is pretty good for just a set of mounts ill take that any day LOL
