And realized I have absolutely no idea how to wire it properly. I don't have an Eprom ECU and I am not 100% sure I am going to get one however I do want to be able to tune one day.

I figured for mounting since I am changing exhaust next summer I am going to drill a hole and use the AEM temp mount bracket thing. but as far as

a) where to run the O2 sensor from inside the cabin to the exhaust

and

b) what if anything I should hook up to the ECU and where

I am a little lost

red wire = switched 12v+

black is your ground

and the sensor...run through the firewall and put in your downpipe.

white and blue wires are optional for dataloggers

I should add I know how to wire the power properly I was more concerned with how and where to wire the datalogging and ECU stuff.

Where through the firewall did you run it? its way to thick for the steering boot like I did with the boost gauge. I could do the throttle sensor grommit but its a long way to the other side.

Hmm, I thought I had read that there is a place you can run it without drilling but I guess not

The only good thing about the UEGO is that is says 'poo' on that start up. Why not use the spot where your downstream o2 comes in under your drivers seat? Hole-drilling=fail.

*edit* There it is, Yea this is what I will use. I take it I will have to drop the seat to get to it? or whats the least hackjob way of running it through here.

Just pull the seat for ease. It's 4 14mm bolts. Done.

Stupid question but do I run it through the center console and out or does it run under the carpet, I haven't really worked with the ECU as of yet as I am newish to tuning properly :coy:

Well, I was talking about running the sensor itself under there. If you're speaking of the wiring, you can run through your center console, carpet, etc. Once you start taking it apart, you'll start seeing ways and paths to make it work. You'll be fine, sir.

Pull it in through that grommet, then run your own clean path to wherever you are mounting the gauge, it isn't going to the ECU. Your ECU will not know what to do with the data until you get ECMLink.

Alright so just cap off the datalogging wires for now until I get whatever system I decide on and just use the gauge as a warning device.

Once you get EMClink, you can shut off your stock rear-o2 and use the spot in the exhaust for your wideband. You don't have to log it. Tuning with it being logged is way nice, though. Knowing your AFR at all times is nice.

Yes it is. No drilling, no welding, and just follow the old wires. Perfect spot IMO.
