I work for a LPG company. Our bulk trucks run on lp the down side is it hard on a motor. You need to rebuild the motor to withstand the heat. And on cold mornings you got to warm up for at least a half hour before driving. Lp boils at 44 below so the run coolant line through it to keep it from freezing up. So if you just start up and go it will freeze the regulator up. I have though about doing it. Lpg does have a higher octane than gas. I believe its 100. Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know.

thanks for the quick reply.

Im from the Philippines. Its always warm here. Do I still need to warm it up?
Ive seen a lot of taxis here run on LPG. Ive heard a story that it destroys the cyl head or something. Lets say I'll be able to tune it to the exact LPG AF ratio, will it perform the same? What do you mean by rebuild the motor?change rings, head gasket?

What do I need to run it up? does it have a separate fuel pump or something?
Im planning to run petrol on the hi way, LPG on city driving/traffic.
Can you list the things I need to convert it to LPG? Im runing an EPROM ECU. I can tune the AF.

I could not find a kit for are cars. If you do a google search on lpg cars you can find out if it will work out for you. I do know we replace the motor in are trucks once a year we still have not been able to find out why they dont last long.

Ive done a few searching and I've found out that some of the Mitsu cars came with LPG kits from the factory. In fact Mitsu Motors backed up the kit / car with a warranty.

Lancer Cedia, Mitsu Shogun, Outlander etc.

Mitsubishi Motors UK, Austrailia does this.

I know they have kits for Eclipse and Galants. Its just so expensive. Im thinking we dont need the AF mixing hardware bec of our EPROM Ecus. We can run dual fuel on dual image eproms.

Sorry its been awhile, I have been busy? The reason I have not done anything about it is that it burns hotter the gasoline. It tear our motors apart with all the heat. I am sure there are way to work around it. But to run lpg you got to put a tank in your car where can you put in with out losing space are car don't got a lot of room to start. Plus its about 400lb, till you get all the stuff you need to do it. If you like the cars for the same reason i do why do you want to add all that weight to you car. It not a bad idea but it like taking sugar out of candy. I don't like how much fuel is but i buy a bike to drive everyday then to make my car heavier and take the chance of burning up a motor. I just don't see that it worth what i may save in fuel . if that what you really want to do best of luck but when i see all the lpg co, switching the trucks that run on lpg to diesel i cant help but to think there a reason.

haha! I'll just commute to work and use the car on weekends. I'll wait and see who does this thing first and make it perfect.
