SMIM Question

Im looking into the Race or Drag version of the JMF SMIM.
My question is:
Is it worth it to buy a Drag manifold when Im going to be using a 1g tb?

I would still buy drag mani, BUT will order it with 75MM TB flange and use adapter for stock 1G TB.. JMF sells it also/the adapter/...

I know it a few extra bucks, but well spent..

In case one you decide to go BIG you will already have the 75 mm TB,

Plus if you decide to sell everything you will have customers right away, cause whoever might want to buy JMF DRAG mani, eventually will be using 3" UICP and TB ... That is my opinion only.

On the tests that were done on this forum I think, the drag spooled faster and made more power sooner.

The 75mm tb would be the mustang tb correct? Or will this also work with the boomba?
How much farther will the plate make the 1g tb stick out? Will I have to make a new uicp for each tb?
If there is a restrictor plate on it, Im assuming it has a seal? Will/ does this seal ever leak?

I don't know if the plate has a seal... I assume it is gasket only.. For the TB it might be Mustang or something else, depends what brand.. These PPP Prof. Products TB can be had fairly cheap BNIB for like $ 175. For the UICP you MUST make a new piping.. If you get drag mani you'll need everything to be in top shape. Look at my gallery. Need to relocate battery and make room for UICP... Mine battery was underneath over the tunnel, that covers rack and pinion. GL..

Oooh, BTW call JMF and ask them these additional questions, that you have/ TB, adapter, seal-gaskets, etc.../.
