So I just replaced my stock airbox with a K&N filter and air box (like the one below).

When I'm driving along and let off the gas there's a small whine that can be heard from that area. A friend told me that it sounds like I have squeaky brakes, but I am sure that that is not it since I don't have to step on the brakes to hear it.

Besides the air filter and a ucip, everything is stock. Anybody know what could be causing it or is that normal...it's starting to get annoying.

I checked it but there is no shaft play whatsoever and it looks fine. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the reply's. I'll get that done this Friday. Kinda sucks though if it is. The whole reason I bought a 1g bov was to eliminate the leak :ohdamn:

picture shows a 2g bov unless you installed the 1g bov after you took this picture

That's not my picture. It is the one off of Turbo Garage's website. I just put it there as an example of what kind of box I had there, but I do have a 1g bov.

also when i put my intake my bov was louder that with the stock intake...! gotta love the sound of spooling...!!!

Yeah but its not the sound of spooling thats bothering me. It's a little whine after I let off the gas (and after the bov releases back to the intake). As soon as I get back on the gas, even lightly, it goes away.

Bet it's the blow off valve. Open intake makes it louder, mine does the same thing. Not a big deal.
