Small 16g Auto launch

alright i use to have stock auto gsx with the 13b at 15psi and would launch really good got a 1.7 with it now i have a small 16g(17psi) safc(neo) 550cc 3inch turbo back 2g mass logger, but have unported 1g o2 houseing and now i might get lucky enough to hit 5psi on a launch and maybe get a 2.7 maybe its pretty bad why is this? do i need to pull some fuel down low what? thanks in advance my fuel trims are 100 across the board

You need cool air going into the turbo. I couldn't make over 5psi on my auto 16G car, and then I rigged up a cold air intake and it gets past 20psi in no time. Also, check your afr's, as being to rich can kill your launch as well.

Exactly how are you launching? 16g doesn't spool up the same way the 14b does.

Larger turbine housing and wheel including a rotating assembly with more rotational mass = less backpressure in the manifold = less exhaust energy to spin the turbine wheel at the same RPM that it did with the 13G.

This is why the auto 1G's came from the factory with a 5cm turbine housing and TD04 13G turbo versus the 6cm TD05H 14B and the auto 2G's came from the factory with a .45 a/r turbine housing on the T25 versus the .49 a/r housing on the manual.

Upgrading the turbo to add airflow also adds lag- that should not come as a shock to anyone.

Yea I know it was not gonna spool up not nearly as quick but I seen guys launch small 16g cars qith 1.6 in the 60' with stock trans and stall was just wondering what was going on and thanks y'all makes I'm hooking up my wide band right now might be a little on the rich side I tuned for no knock and ill make.a cai when I get a front mount
